About Bradford CHA Rambling and Social Club - www.bradfordwalking.org
Bradford CHA Rambling and Social Club was founded in 1903 as part of the national Countrywide Holidays Association (CHA) which no longer exists, but we have kept the name.
We are a diverse club with members from several continents. Bradford is surrounded by wonderful walking country both near at hand and further afield. We offer local public transport walks on Saturday, Sunday coach rambles, social events, club weekends and holidays. These are listed in our club programme. You will be given a warm welcome on our walks.
Our regular Sunday coach means we can easily visit several National Parks (Lakes, Dales, N York Moors and Peak District) and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (Nidderdale, Bowland, Howardian Hills and Yorkshire Wolds) while leaving the driving to a professional. The coach rambles require booking and payment in advance. For our Saturday walks just turn up at the designated meeting point. Our coach rambles, social events and club weekends and holidays need to be booked and paid for in advance.
We welcome you to join three of our events as a guest but then for insurance purposes you would need to become a member to continue attending our events. To join or club weekends and holidays you need to be a member.
Please note that we do not allow dogs on our walks, as we often walk in farmer’s fields which contain livestock.
